General System Enhancements
XpoLog New Look and Feel
We have replaced the look and feel of XpoLog. The Manager now displays an updated overview screen with general system status and all menus were integrated into a navigation panel on the left.
Internal screens - Folders and Logs, Montiors, AppTags, Add Data and more were replaced with new UI and advanced UX to help users get better results and faster and make administrators flows much more intuitive.
Home page modifications
XpoLog default home page was replaced and presents useful shortcusts to multiple ways to add data to XpoLog - adding data from a specific system, custom logs, or use build-in listener that receives data from syslog (TCP/UDP) or HTTP (JSON).
XpoLog engines now automatically identify available processing machines in a XpoLog cluster, and distribute all backend jobs dynamically between them - this dynamic mechanism ensures efficient resources utilization and maximizes performance.
There is no configuration required, this mechanism works automatically.
An XpoLog App is a container that contains one or more dashboards. Each dashboard in the App is used to display visual or textual information from the logs that exist in the XpoLog environment.
Apps and Dashboards simplify and expedite analysis of an Application or Environment. The Dashboards provide live visualization of the data to quickly expose and understand faults and outages.
XpoLog contains a set of predefined analytic Apps as well in its Marketplace and any custom App can be created by users on the managed data - see XpoLog Apps for more information.
For Administration related topics - see Apps Administration
Applications New Look and Feel
XpoLog Applications and Dashboard look and feel were enhanced. Each application is opened with its dashboards displayed on a navigation panel, new layouts, global, white/dark theme and more.
Automatic Applications Deployment
When adding data to XpoLog, if using XpoLog automatic pattern builder (via Add data by System or in the Patterns Administration) XpoLog will parse and tag the logs according to their source system. Following, XpoLog will automatically suggest available applications containing predefined dashboards on the added systems to be deployed instantly and display a detailed, visualized, analysis of the added data.
XpoLog Application Marketplace
Many new out of the box Analytics Apps were added to XpoLog Marketplace including multiple Windows and Linux distributions, F5, Palo Alto, Juniper, Active Directory, Syslog, AWS services, IIS, NGINX, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat and more.
Major improvements of dashboards generation and loading.
XpoLog Manager Structure
XpoLog Manager (available at the right hand side of the Tabs bar) structure has been changed and all its menus were embedded into the left navigation panel.
When entering the Manager an Overview page is displayed with usefull, summarized, information on XpoLog's sources, usage and general status.
Add Data by System
XpoLog now automates data definition process from multiple systems. Available from the default home, select a system and XpoLog will walk you through the definition process to build all required configuration automatically including data locations, patterns and taggings.
Once data is saved via the systems wizard, XpoLog automatically identifies it and suggests an analytic application to be deployed on the data.
Add Data Wizard (Add Log / Add Logs Directory)
Enhanced wizard to add any log / logs directory to XpoLog - simply enter the type and location and follow the steps to get the data streamed to XpoLog.
Folders and Logs Management Console
A new console that help manage all Folders and Logs in XpoLog - advanced filtering, drag and drop items to build the exact structure you wish to display, and perform different operations from this centralized console.
Enhanced wizard to define monitors and group of monitors. Including settings sources on group level, settings a relative time to run or a specific period, negative/positive alerting policies, apptag(s) association and more.
The new Monitors console was enhanced to allow advanced filtering, monitors duplication, pause/resume, export/import and more.
Enhanced wizard to define apptags and associate all required items including - folders, logs, monitors, collection policies and more.
Collection Policies Enhancements
